2. The short version
eazie keeps your jobs and tasks only on your own device, in your browser's storage. We do not receive them, we cannot see them, and there is no account to create. If you accept analytics, we also count visits to this website using Google Analytics. Separately, a cookie-free tool, Vercel Web Analytics, keeps basic visit counts.
3. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, which serves our files on our behalf under a data processing agreement. When you open a page, the provider's servers temporarily record technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request and the page requested. This is needed to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Logs are kept only for a short period set by the provider. Vercel may process data in the USA; transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. It records the page visited, the referring page, country, device type, browser and operating system. A visit is recognised only by a short-lived value derived from the request, which is not stored on your device and is discarded after about a day. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used). You can object at any time using the contact details above.
4. Data stored on your device
The app saves your jobs and tasks, and your settings, in your browser's local storage. The settings are text size, work or personal view, eazie mode, whether you dismissed the install hint, and your cookie choice. A service worker keeps a copy of the app so that it can open without a connection. This is strictly necessary to provide the app you asked for (section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). None of it is sent to us. If you use Back up, a file is created on your device and saved or shared wherever you choose; we do not receive it. Clearing your browser data for this site deletes your list, so we cannot restore it for you.
5. Google Analytics
Only if you press Accept on the banner, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It sets cookies with names beginning _ga and records which pages are viewed, your approximate location, device and browser details, and two anonymous events: the app being installed, and an item being added (work or personal). The text of your jobs and tasks is never sent. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation. Data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
Google may process data in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw consent at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing does not affect processing that took place before.
6. Fonts
Fonts are hosted on our own server. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
